DIRECTIONS

  • In a double boiler (or a glass measuring cup in a a pot of simmering water), melt the shea butter and cocoa butter. Add the baking soda and arrowroot or cornstarch. Puncture the vitamin E gel caps and squeeze the oil into the mixture. Give it a good stir.
  • When liquefied, remove from the heat and pour into a 1/4 pint jar. Stir in the essential oils.
  • Place in fridge for at least a few hours until solid. Take it out and let it come to room temperature. Do not store in fridge (vitamin E is a natural preservative). The texture should be between a firm cream and a soft solid.
  • To use, scoop out a pea-size amount with your fingers and apply to your armpit. A slightly wet armpit makes it easier to spread. Makes enough for three odor-free months.
