Divine Cherry Coffee

"These are so good. You will love this drink. They go down so quick and easy. You can substitute with your favorite cherry liquer. I recommend, Creme de Cerise, Marishino Cherry Liquer or Wild Cherry Liquer."

  1. Clearly, Cadie, I have waited waaaay to long to sample this truly devine coffee. However I've now corrected this omission with the acquisition of the smallest bottle of cherry schnapps that they had during yesterdays shopping (my heavens but alcohol is might pricy these days!). Kato love, I'm so sorry that I didn't try this sooner but it was my loss and sure worth the wait. I made it last evening after dinner when there was barely enough light for the photo and sipped it so slowly that it was pretty much room temp when finished because I wanted to savor each wonderful drop. Used ground almonds and, of course, the ask for bittersweet on top. I have one final comment/question: Kato, will you marry me?

  2. Wow this was so divine! I used 1/2 ounce of cherry flavored syrup instead of the cherry schnapps, mainly as I wasn't able to find it. I could have replaced it with raspberry liqueur which I had left over from another recipe, but then it wouldn't have been divine cherry coffee now would it? Plus I must make a notation to the effect that this is a coffee beverage that I actually tasted before Annacia. Made for the Summer 2009 Comfort Cafe.

  3. True, this goes down really easy, it's not too strong & the alcohol is hardly detectable so be careful with this. I used plain choclate schnapps & cherry heering liqueur, yummo!

Very fortunate to have a cherished son, wonderful daughter in law and adorable granddaughter and cute wee grandson. We are very blessed.
