ingredients

• 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
• 1 1⁄2 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄2 teaspoon almond extract
• 2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda

directions

1. Mix butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
2. Blend in flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
3. Cover and chill for 3 hours.
4. Divide, roll, and cut.
5. Heat oven to 375 degrees, and bake for 7-8 minutes or until light brown on edges.
