Reviews

  1. We weren't impressed by this recipe & probably won't be making it again. I agree with previous reviews.. the floury texture and taste wasn't appetizing, and that was after I shook as much as the flour off as I could (per another cook's suggestion). Positives: the chicken itself was nice and juicy, and the coating was nice and crisp.

  2. Very good recipe! I also had to make extra coating for the drumsticks, we had 8 smaller drumsticks. Great meal!

  3. Very good oven fried chicken, I found that I needed to make a bit more of the flour mixture to coat 6 large drumsticks. I really thought this was a tasty and very simple way to make chicken. Thanks:)

  4. I was going to post this recipe, but then I realized someone else already had! My mom has been making these forever, because they are so easy and truly are delicous drumsticks. Thanks for sharing so other people can make them too!

  5. Chicken turned out a tad soggy.

Tweaks

  1. Very good. I'll definitely make these again. I especially like that there isn't a lot of steps involved--quick and easy. I have to admit though that I didn't have paprika on hand so I used two teaspoons of Lawry's Seasoned Salt in place of the paprika, salt, and pepper. They came out fantastic--tender and flavorful.

  2. Like alot of other reviewers, I added some garlic powder. I also added some Italian seasoning and lemon juice to the mixture. I used smart balance margarine instead of butter, and the chicken still turned out wonderful!

  3. Really good! I used olive oil instead of butter, in deference to my husband's cholesterol level.

  4. Very Good! I used olive oil instead of butter, and added 4 T of tobasco to the olive oil. Turned out great!

  5. These drumsticks were okay, but pretty tasteless. Next time I would use some garlic powder and cayenne instead of paprika.
