Del Monte's Texas Chili

"I know this isnt really a traditional Texas chili, but that's what the original recipe from Del Monte is called and so I am keeping it's name intact. I usually use a roll of Bob Evans Original sausage in place of the pork for more flavor. Really easy and quick to make."

• Serves: 5-6

ingredients

• 3⁄4 lb ground pork
• 3⁄4 lb ground beef
• 1 cup onion, chopped
• 1 cup celery, chopped
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1 (15 ounce) can del monte tomato sauce
• 1 (8 3/4 ounce) can del monte sweet whole kernel corn
• 1 (8 ounce) can kidney beans
• 1⁄3 cup water
• 2 teaspoons chili powder
• 1 teaspoon oregano
• 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt

directions

1. In a Dutch oven, brown pork and beef; drain.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
