  • Tie tea bags together.
  • Bring 4 cups water to boil, add tea bags and take off heat.
  • Cover and let sit for about an hour.
  • Pour tea into gallon container and squeeze tea bag excess into gallon container with clean hands.
  • Add sugar and stir.
  • Finish filling container with water, stir and serve.

  2. Ahhhhhh, just sitting around waiting for summer! You can't miss it. It's that one LARGE humid air mass. Made for Pantry Challenge recipe tag.
     
  3. 5 stars for taste, for sure! It's a great recipe for basic iced tea, though I used about half of the sugar called for in this recipe. But that's simply our preference. My only comment would be that with only 4 1/2 cups of water and 2 cups sugar called for in this recipe, we didn't get anywhere near a gallon of iced tea. It was closer to a quart (though I didn't really measure it). Nonetheless, this was the perfect beverage to go along with our BBQ rib dinner. Thank you for sharing your recipe, sloe cooker. Made for Spring 2012 Pick-A-Chef.
