Date Nut Bread

This is a dark, moist date nut bread like Thomas's or Dromedary --with the deep flavor or molasses! Healthy too--low fat and increased fiber. Don't use the packaged chopped dates as they contain added sugar. You can also make the loaf with white flour only. Enjoy!

This tastes almost like the Dromedary Date bars my Mom made when I was young! I did not use the whole wheat flour this time. It's moist and rich, excellent spread with butter or cream cheese!

I made this! Very very delicious!!! The first time I made it I forgot to stir in the nuts and it was STILL delicious! The next time I doubled the recipe (and nuts) and it is a keeper! Reminds me of Dromedary date nut bread from my childhood!

Just a mention! the recipe does not mention when to stir in the nuts, I stirred them in after stirring in the dates.

Omg yum! Made this for Christmas and it was moist and wonderful. Used King Arthur's white whole wheat flour and it turned out great.
