  1. I'm doing this next Saturday. But using a Pork Butt and adding a jar of mild pepper rings. Was thinking of adding a package of Ranch dressing mix!

  2. This was OK for us. I followed the recipe as written and the meat was very tender but all I could taste was beer. The other flavors didn't draw through the meat for some reason. I used Coors Light, not sure if they made a difference.

  3. This sauce is outstanding. To day I did not have a rump roast. But had some beef ribs. I pulled the menbrane off..yes beef has one just like pork ribs.. Cooked the ribs up at 300 2 hours, turned over for 1 hour, 275 about 30 min. Never had beef ribs come out so tender and tasty, this will be my only recipe for ribs from now on. But can't wait to try it your way know it will be so good. thanks for your post.

  4. For years I've used my crockpot to cook a roast, shred it, and then use the meat either in Au Jus Sandwiches or to make a Philly style sandwich. The broth was always lacking though -- this recipe was just right! My family really enjoyed it. I'll be making it again -- thank you for posting it!

My favorite time of year to cook is in the fall. In the summer I love to use my Crock Pot alot and would love to know easy recipes that I can use. It's just my husband and I at home and I like to try new recipes that are easy. My husband is also a diabetic so I want to try recipes that will benefit him. We also have 2 cats and a dog that share our home.
