"This is a really simple way to do a lovely creamy porridge, found on a Kraft website, we love ours with golden syrup but you can use honey to top if you prefer."

directions

  • MIX together the porridge and 1/2 cup of the milk. ( I also add the cream cheese at this step so it melts into the milk but you can add it at the end if you wish.).
  • Microwave on High for 1 minute. Stir, and cook a further 30 seconds.
  • POUR remaining milk over porridge, top with cream cheese, drizzle with golden syrup or honey, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve immediately.

  1. What a unique preparation! This was very good - warm and filling. Thanks for sharing!

  2. This is my new quick breakfest favourite! It was way more filling then I anticipated and so tasty!!! I stirred 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon-sugar into the creamcheese before putting in the oatmeal. I'm going to use this recipe A LOT and recommend it to everyone! I think i'll also try using different creamcheese flavours...yum-yum!Thanx!!!

  3. Simple, creamy, filling breakfast. The cream cheese was a nice creamy change from butter. Used honey as I have never seen golden syrup in any of the stores around here.

  4. A very tasty breakfast this was ~ Easy to put together, & very, very nice with the golden syrup! Yes, I still have some left, which I use sparingly until I get more ~ I enjoy a wide variety of honey, but golden syrup is in a category all its own! Thanks for sharing! Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
