This was a bit short on flavor for me, but I cannot put my finger on what needs to be added to make it perfect. It was a very nice side dish for chicken marsala.

Definitely restaurant quality! We really enjoyed this as a side to chicken lime tacos. I used 1 1/2 cups dried orzo and subbed fat free evapor. milk (with great success!) Thanks Chia, for posting! Roxygirl

Loved this! I made some changes and it was still very creamy and flavorful! I used 1 cup orzo (measured uncooked), egg substitute, frozen spinach (thawed and squeezed of liquid), no balsamic vinegar and 2 tbs. milk mixed with 2 tsp. cornstarch. Thanks for a great recipe!!

I made this for my friend's elderly mother. She has difficulty swallowing and a delicate stomach.I thought this would be comforting food for her and the egg a nice way to get some protein.Of course I did not add the garlic or pepper flakes.I found it extremely easy to make and yet had a wonderful rich flavor.I am wondering if any one has reheated this in the microwave & if it came out allright?
