Creamy Mexican Salsa

I don't recall the history of this salsa recipe. But it's one of those childhood moments in which I have specific memories of this spread or dip always being included on the buffet table at the parties my mom and dad hosted in our home. There was never any left, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It's great with tortilla chips, dry crackers (especially a zesty herb cracker), fresh vegetables and deli snack breads.

This was made just for 2 of us, so I cut the recipe in half! I'm always leary about using avocado in anything (almost always, anyway!), but it worked out very well here, I we really enjoyed this salsa! Definitely a keeper recipe that I'll be making off & on throughout the summer! Thanks for posting it! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Gimme 5 tag]

This is really really good! The avocado was a great addition. I used a hot spicy salsa because it would lose some heat with the sour cream. I'm glad I did. This turned out just right for everyone. It is a great dip for scooper chips. I think it would make an excellent sauce for chicken - or even as a dressing for a taco salad! Made and Reviewed for PRMR - Thanks! :)
