i was surprised how well this recipe went over with the family. the men in my family usually like a bite to their slaw hence i usually add some horseradish. well the females in my family are partial to a sweeter slaw. so when i saw the ingredients for this recipe i thought i would try it. an lo and behold my brothers even praised the taste; adding the pickle juice was just right to please all. i had served this with stuffed shells and green beans and my family (i think there was 17 of us there) said it was a great meal.

Summer 2011: I don't really like coleslaw but this is wonderful and the longer it sits the better it gets.<br/>Summer 2012: I had a craving for sweet and hot and needed to do something with the head of letuce that came in the bountiful basket. I added 1/4 C. honey and 1 tsp. pepper to this recipe, I didn't think it could get any better the first time that I made it last year. The honey and pepper really did it for me, put it over the top!
