  1. I wasn't really sure about this. I'm not use to the flavor of thyme. Also, I think I might have put to much in, so I added a little more milk. After adding the sauce to the potatoes and beans, it kind of mellowed out. DH gave it 4 stars.

  2. Very good recipe. I used half the thyme. Will make again. Thanks for posting.

  3. Everyone loved this! Delicious! Omitted thyme as we don't like it. This is a keeper. Thanks MizzNezz.

  4. Very good! I used fresh green beans from my garden, whole wheat flour and Smart Balance 50/50 blend. Will make again.

  5. If you like thyme, then add the thyme! If you don't like thyme, like me, then please leave it out and try another herb that you do like. This recipe is basically potatoes and green beans with white gravy, which I liked!! I made this with just a pinch of thyme and thought that was enough for flavor. I also added some vegetable bouillon to the gravy mix for flavor, along with some powdered garlic. Decent side dish for dinner.

Tweaks

  1. Excellent side dish. Can be made without the thyme or using canned green beans instead.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
