Cranberry Sauce With Red Wine

"I LOVE cranberries! This was my first attempt at fresh cranberry sauce and it was delicious! Much better than canned, fast, easy, and so good."

  • Place all ingredients except cranberries in saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 3 min or until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add cranberries and simmer 10-12 minute.
  • Remove from heat and cool to room temperature, than place in fridge.
  • NOTE: sauce will be thin -- it thickens as it cools.

I am a Colorado ski bum at heart, but am currently stuck in Miami, FL of all places working on my Doctoral degree in physical therapy at UM. I can't wait until I graduate and can get back to the mountains! 2 more years, 2 more years...I love to cook and find it a great way to relax and slow down after classes and I can't wait until I have more free time to be able to do it.
