"This is the best. Family loves it and so will you. I think that 60 large marshmallows equal 6 cups mini marsh."

  1. I made this recipe in quantities very close to Hal I below. I used 2 cups of Campside brand mini-marshmallows, 3 cups Kelloggs cornflakes and 2 1/4 tbsp Imperial margarine. I did not use any vanilla, but I did add a handful of Smarties. Not sure that there are Smarties in the US or not. They are similar to M & M's. You do have to work fast when mixing in the cornflakes and any other ingredients. Result: one gooey but yummy treat. The next time I make these, I will try adding dried cherries or apricots.

  2. Very easy to make! I loved it even my picky brother loved it.only had half ingredients and made 6. 2 cups mini marshmallows 1 3/4 tbsp butter 1 tsp vanilla extract 3 cups cornflakes Didn't have square pab around I used my hands to form the sticky mixture into balls.Fyi quick tip, wetting your hands before grabbing or touching the mixture helps the cereal from sticking to your hands

  3. Deeeeeeelicious. I didn't have any almonds on hand, so I subbed in more pecans. I also used mini marshmallows. The bag of Jet Puffed that I had gave different large-to-mini substitution instructions. 13 mini = 1 large, 1/2 c mini = approx. 40 mini. So if 80 minis were in one cup, that would be approx. 6 large marshmallows (80/13=6.15). So 60 large marshmallows would equal approx. 10 cups of the minis (60/6=10). Of course, that may only apply to this particular brand. I used 11 cups because I like things like this a little extra marshmallow-y. :) Love the coconut! They are so good. Thank you so much for sharing! Can you believe I was looking for recipes to use up cornflakes and marshmallows? Perfect!

  4. Julie-Ann,This is a great treat,I loved how crispy they are.The only thing I did different was I didn\'t use the coconut as I didn\'t have any,so I used an extra 1/2 cup of corn flakes to make up for it.These are yummy,Thanks,Darlene Summers

  5. I had no problem with crushed cornflakes, and made as directed, using sliced almonds and very coarsely chopped pecans. All adults loved this - kids didn't go for for some reason. I think they're delicious!
