  • brown ground meat and onion add remaining ingredients simmer until your preferred thickness. you can add the corn meal to thicken a little if you like.

    Agreed, this is a very sweet chili. Personally I'd hold on the brown sugar and add a few shots of Tabasco or Crystal hot sauce. But that can be done per dog if there are little palates in the mix. A nice touch on the dog is to add some of your favorite yellow mustard to the dog before applying the chili. The contrast of the tangy mustard to the sweet chili under a mess o' cheddar and diced onions really comes close to my family favorite at Eddie's Grill (Geneva-On-The-Lake, OH). MANY great summer nights there with footlong chili dogs and root beers!

    a mild sweet chili just up mr pickys midwestern alley he enjoyed it alot if you dont like sweet so much dont add brown sugar . made for pac come join us in the game rooms i like "went to the market" lol dee

    This was alright, just missing some spices. To us it was really sweet, I didn't even use the brown sugar it called for. Plus added extra chilli pepper. :( My kids liked it, because it wasn't as spicy as we usually make it.
