Coffee Syrup

"This was a recipe handed down to me by my MIL. They always use it to make coffee milkshakes. I'm sure it would be good as a milk flavoring."

 

• Ready In: 15mins
• Ingredients: 3
• Yields: 4 cups

ingredients

• 4 cups sugar
• 4 cups water
• 2 ounces instant coffee granules, not freeze-dried

directions

1. Mix ingredients in a large saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.
3. Boil for 10 minutes.
4. Cool and store in the refrigerator.

Brilliant syrup! Reminded me of the syrup in the center of the coffee candies we used to buy down in Oakland. This syrup made nice milk shake for DH and a nice iced mocha late for me. Thanks for the post.

Since I'm not a coffee drinker, this was made especially for my other half & he was very pleased with it, too! I can't imagine a 'coffee milkshake' but he was & will be making them, more & more, as the weather warms up! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
