Closest Thing to Subway's Italian Herbs & Cheese Bread

Closest Thing to Subway's Italian Herbs & Cheese Bread created by H C.3738

At least this is the closest one you'll be able to find. Most likely. It's not going to look like they're bread, but I heard if you freeze it, let it sit out for a bit, roll it and then put it in regular bread pans in the oven and cook it to about 350 it should turn out closer to it...... But I'm too scared to try that, if you try it and you like it let me know! This recipe came from MC-Recipe Digest V1 #583 by Barbara Zack on Apr 21, 1997.

Have you tried Chef Paul Prudhomme's "Herbal Pizza & Pasta Magic" — it has all those seasonings, incl. Parmesan, in it already (for without Parmesan, there's also "Italian Seasoning Magic") and a bit more for a more robust zest. And it creates a delicious combo...on pizza, pasta, etc. It's also a great way to transform a wrap into something more approximating Subway's Italian Herb & Cheese bread—sprinkle some on the ingredients before wrapping it up...and voilà!

That guy that said he works at subway is wrong. I'm a manager at subway. The Italian herbs and cheese seasoning is a simple mix of Parmesan cheese and oregano. What we do is spray our Italian dough stick with water , roll it in the seasoning , proof it for an hour at 95 degrees , afterwards bake it with Monterey shredded cheddar on top for 12 minutes at 350. Don't know how it would work out using different dough though.

Not really like Subway bread. The texture is actually like Ciabatta Bread. But is a good bread. The second time that i made, i added about half teaspoon of salt and it tasted better
