  1. I added 2 strips of smoked bacon to the onions and left them in the pot, was it ever tasty!

  2. I made this for my six year old who loves seafood. All the kids loved it. It was easy to make. I added celery (put in with the onions) and doubled the cornstarch. yum!

  3. this was very good though not very creamy for me a little thin but maybe just me i dont know. what i do know though is everyone loved the taste so next time i will just add a bit more cornstarch thanks for a great recipe

  4. Very nice, quick to make clam chowder. If you are short and time but want a homemade chowder, this is the recipe. DH especially liked it, because he doesn't like a lot of extra "stuff" (like celery, bacon, etc) in his clam chowder. I added some garlic when I sauteed the onions. For the little effort it took to make this, it's darn good! I'll be whipping this up often; thanx!

In the words of Tracy Byrd, "I'm from the country & I like it that way"!! On May 1, 2008 my husband and I started a new adventure. We'll be living in a 37 foot RV while our new home is under construction. Its out in the country on a dead end dirt road with lots of trees. For the next 4 months or so, most meals will be cooked on the BBQ and life will be full of challenges! We love spending quality time with our friends & family - especially the grandkids!! The photo is 4 generations - my 84 year old mother, myself, my daughter & my youngest granddaughter - taken at the end of 2006. I've participated in many contests & events here on Zaar but this is the first banner that I've posted. My thanks to Dreamgoddess for hosting the contest & SusieD for the banner design! <img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f249/Dreamgoddess555/Narrow1-1.jpg">
