Cinnamon Chai Latte
"We don't have this chai latte mix in Australia but I was lucky enough to be given some in a swap and decided to check out the General Foods website and came across this recipe. Cool Whip is also not an Australian grocery line so I just topped mine off with some dairy whip (whipped cream in a can for non Aussie chefs)"

- 4 teaspoons sugar-free chai latte mix (General Foods)
- 1 cinnamon sticks or 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon thawed Cool Whip Topping or 1 tablespoon whipped cream
- 3⁄4 cup scalded milk
directions
- PLACE flavored drink mix, cinnamon stick and whipped topping in mug.
- ADD milk gradually, stirring with cinnamon stick until well blended.
- SERVE immediately.

This was pretty yummy. I had regular chai mix and used ground cinnamon. -
Mandy - this is a very enjoyable drink. I only had the regular Chai mix on hand and did find it pretty sweet so next time I'm going to use a sugar-free mix. I love the use of the cinnamon stick and even sprinkled a bit more ground cinnamon on top. I think it would taste nice with a sprinkle of nutmeg too. Great for a evening drink on a cool evening. Very enjoyable way to drink chai! I used Pacific Chai instant decaf chai latte as it was what I had on hand - delicious! Thank you for posting a nice, relaxing alternative to coffee, Mandy! Made for ZWT4.

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa.
Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi :lol: I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks.
As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
