Cinnamon Applesauce Ornaments

"We made these at Preschool, they smell great!"

 

• Ready In: 24hrs 5mins
• Ingredients: 4
• Yields: 10 ornaments

ingredients

• 3⁄4 cup cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1⁄2 cup warm applesauce
• 2 tablespoons of white glue

directions

1. Mix all in a bowl. Knead to stiff dough.
2. (You may need to add more applesauce, but a little at a time.).
3. Roll out between sheets of foil to 1/4 inch thick.
4. Cut out with cookie cutters.
5. Use straw to make a hole near the top for hanging.
6. Let dry.
7. You may also want to turn over so both sides dry thoroughly.

Awww, I had completely forgotten about these ornaments. My mom and I used to make these. She would put them on her little tree she decorated for her kitchen and also give them away as decorations on wrapped presents. I love the smell of them. So glad to see the recipe here! Thanks Aunt Paula!

What fun I had making these :) This is a wonderful recipe for christmas time. I made these for christmas gifts this year. You can make for ornaments for your tree, or even use for a air freshners in your car or maybe even a closet somewhere in your house. Thanks for sharing the recipe Aunt Paula!
