  1. Woooohooo - this is the recipe I was looking for, but it's not what you think! Ever since moving to KY, I could not find my chocolate mint syrup for my morning coffee. Then, I thought *ding* look on Zaar! All I did to this recipe is omit the salt and add 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract and *voila*. What used to cost $5.00 for a 24oz bottle (on sale!) and that I couldn't find anymore anyway, I can now make at home!! Thanks SO much for posting this recipe, Chelle!

  2. This is just excellent. You can make as little or as much as you want or need by adjusting the recipe. Saves a lot of $$$ too. I'll have a small jar in the fridge from now on. Thanks Chelle N

Most of my recipes are dairy free since I discovered many years ago that I am lactose intolerant. While I have had to give up some much-loved recipes, we have discovered that most can be modified to accommodate the changes to our diet. Most of my recipes say dairy free but there are a few from my childhood that may have dairy! I also have an intolerance to MSG so we spend a lot of time reading labels. Usually, it is just easier to cook from scratch, so we don't use many pre-made foods from the grocery store.</p> I like recipes I can make with minimal ingredients, real food I have in my kitchen, that are also easy to make!
