  1. Great recipe, easy to follow and hard to mess up! Can even leave out the sugar and use slightly more vegetable spread and it still tastes great! I used it with cornflakes. Incredibly more-ish, cheap and easy to make. Oh dear!

  2. Although my holiday baking should be over, I find myself needing a few small items to fill out my remaining trays. Looking for something easy and perhaps no bake, I came across this one in a tag game and knew it was perfect for my needs. I made a half batch using corn syrup and it took less than 10 minutes from start to finish and yielded 7 cups the size of a Reese's peanut butter cup. To add a festive touch I added little red and green decorations. The taste was really good, not as sweet as a traditional confection made with marshmallows but with a deep chocolate flavor. Thanks!

Tweaks

  1. You can use vegan margarine, and this recipe is then vegan, as well as gluten free!

  2. You can avoid using greaseproof paper by just "greasing" a flat tray and spreading out your mix, the Krispies are soft enough to then peel off when cooled, without needing paper.
