Chocolate Fudge Sheet Cake

"A chocolate lovers delight! This is from my Grandmothers recipe collection and is absolutely scrumptious. The cake stays moist because the icing is rich fudge. Prep and cooking times are approximate and includes cooling time."

  1. I'm not sure why more people haven't made this cake, but I just finished making it and it is great! The only change I made was to sub the evaporated milk with 2% milk.

  2. This was excellent! Moist, delicious - everything the recipe promised! I followed the recipe exactly, and as soon as the cake was out of the oven, I made the fudge topping and poured over the cake. This is quite rich so best served with a glass of milk. Yum!

  3. What a CAKE! I put butter, water and cocoa in the pan and brought to a boil for 2 minutes.I also mixed milk, sugar and butter at same time for frosting. I used the Hershey's Dark cocoa for this recipe and added 1/2 teaspoon vanilla to frosting. FANTASTIC! Thanks for sharing this great recipe c0dphish!

I live in Texas with my wife and four boys. I love collecting and trying new recipes. When I'm not working, cooking, or playing with my four boys, I enjoy television, movies, reading and surfing the Internet. Since I work the off-shifts (9:00 PM to 8:00 AM) I need fast easy breakfast/lunch type recipes. When I find a new recipe that I think that everyone would enjoy, I will make it. This backfires on me about 90 percent of the time. My cooking challenge is picky eaters (all five of them).
