  • Preheat oven to 375*.
  • Line muffin tins with 12 paper or foil liners.
  • Mix together dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Add milk, oil and egg; stir until just moistened.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and spoon into prepared muffin tins.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool slightly and remove from pan.

    All I taste is the baking soda!!! Don't add 2 tsp They also didn't rise quite like I thought. I would totally try making them again with less baking soda next time because I think they would come out perfectly.

    I think it might have been perfect, but all I taste is baking soda :(. Definitely don't add 2 tsp! They didn't rise as much as I hoped, but I would totally try to make them again. My 3 year old helped me. He was so proud

    I really like this recipe. The cinnamon is a fun addition.

    I omitted the cinnamon and could taste the baking soda, plus they didn't rise as much as I expected. I think 2 tsp baking soda is too much for 12 muffins. Otherwise they were fine - nice easy recipe.
