Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies

"These are my favorite chocolate chip cookies!! And I have tried many!! Another of moms genius recipes!! I usually double or triple this recipe!!"

• Ingredients: 8
• Yields: 24 Cookies (approx)

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup shortening
• 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup chocolate chips

directions

1. Creme first four ingredients.
2. Combine dry ingredients.
3. Add to wet ingredients.
4. Add Chocolate Chips.
5. Bake @ 350°F.
6. 10-12 minutes.

Good, easy recipe. Whips up in no time. I did add more chips than stated. Also used giant chips. They are very chocolatey!

Can't go wrong with a good basic chocolate chip cookie! I don't feel like this recipe has enough chocolate chips, though, making it 4 stars, but that may just be my personal preference. I doubled the chocolate chips, and that made it a good 5-star cookie in my book. :) Thanks for sharing your mom's recipe!
