Chocolate Chewy Brownies

"One of my favorite indulgences! This makes a thick and chewy brownie. You can bake in a 9 x 13 pan for a thinner brownie. Chocolate frosting can be used if desired."

Before getting on with my review,I'm proud to be the first to rate this " Hidden Gem " of a brownie recipe. :)I was a little hesitant to try a brownie recipe without baking powder, but went ahead with it anyway. And except for subbing mini-chocolate for the walnuts( SO doesn't care for them) this recipe was made exactly as it was written.I checked the brownies after 30 minutes of baking time and very few crumbs stayed on the toothpick,so I knew they were ready. For a more even cut,I let them rest for over an hour. This is exactly what a brownie should be,chewy and full of chocolate flavor. Thanks for posting a recipe that will be made again and again." Keep Smiling :) "

Hi Hazeleyes...thank you for this brownies recipe. They are absolutely awesome. Even family members that normally do not like chocolate raved over them. Keeper recipe.

Hi! I'm very fortunate to be married to my best friend! My husband and I own our own business, and I work there 3-4 days a week. We have 4 children, a girl and three boys...all out of the nest. Our daughter is Nolan'sMom here at Zaar. We are so blessed to have two little grandsons; Nolan and Blake, and two little grandaughters; Evangeline and Willow. Our daughter-in-law is run for your life here at zaar. Us girls all enjoy trying out recipes and sharing the results when we're all together! Some of my hobbies are jogging, biking, areobics, reading, and of course trying out new recipes on Zaar. My DH and I love to go out on dates to our favorite resturant, or just go out for coffee. I just recently got a new digital camera, and am trying to figure out how to take good pictures of the food I make. It's more complicated that I thought it would be!
