Chocolate Banana Ice Cream

  • 3 bananas, peeled and frozen
  • 2 tablespoons sugar-free chocolate syrup

  • Just blend in the food processor until smooth. I stop occasionally to push any clumps off the side so they become part of the mix. Sometimes we add a tablespoon of peanut butter. I've also seen this recipe with other fruits added to the banana base. The bananas become thick and creamy so the texture is like a decadent ice cream.

  1. Well, I wouldn't call this ice cream, it's more like a frozen smoothie. While it lacks the appeal of real ice cream it's a more healthy sub that can help get you past that ice cream craving when you don't want all of the fat that comes with the real stuff. I think it would be better if the chocolate was blended with the bananas to make a chocolate banana frozen confection. Made for PAC, Spring 2014.
