  1. My 9-yr old son asked me not to make this again until he's 89 years old - in other words, never. We all ate it, but the leftovers went in the trash. I don't know why, but it didn't work out for my family.

  2. YIPPEE! This recipe is for ME! Is a GREAT comfort food recipe! Took previous reviewers advice, true! Used wholemeal pita and passata for sauce too! For a quick eat on the run! Love food when made is fun! THANKS!

  3. Absolutely love this! Have made the recipe exactly as posted several times and don't have a desire to make any changes. Tastes like a homemade chili dog...a welcome change to hot dogs on buns with canned chili! Absolute kid (and DH) pleaser. Thanks for posting.

  4. 1 of my target foods on our recent trip to the US was a chili-cheese dog. Iceland has great hot dogs, but chili is not a favored add-on. I know I can make my own, but I admit to laziness if just a chili dog is at stake. I was hooked when I saw this recipe. I indulged my creativity again, but am happy to say I managed to stay 100% true to your recipe. I used pita pockets for the crust, split 2 pitas into 4 halves & made open-face mini pizzas for DH & I to share. They were so tasty! Love this recipe! Thx for sharing it w/us.

  5. I used my own recipe for Boboli pizza crusts (#86074) that I had already prepared in my freezer and used jumbo hot dogs for this, what a different combo, but really good! thanks Kel, my DS will enjoy this!...Kitten:)
