Chicken for the Gods

"This recipe was given to me by a friend. I was a bit skeptical at first as it would certainly take a lot to live up to a name like "Chicken for the Gods" but it is absolutely to die for . . . and so simple because I just throw it together in the crockpot in the morning and have an absolutely delicious meal when I get home."

 1. The chicken was tender and tasty, but I did thicken the liquid left in the crockpot with a little cornstarch and served it over steamed rice. Made for Alphabet Soup Game. Thank you for posting.

 2. I loved this, even my picky new boyfriend liked it and took some to work for lunch the next day. Thank you for sharing.

 3. We loved this chicken! I browned the chicken breasts well, using a little more dry mustard than called for and adding some Lawry's Seasoned Salt. The sauce in the crockpot thickened up by the time we ate (it probably cooked closer to 8-9 hours on low), so I spooned it over top the chicken breasts. I served this over wild rice, with a side of steamed broccoli-- see my photo. This is a definite keeper- thanks! :)

 4. This was ok, but was almost too 'chickeny'. Don't think I will make this one again, but it was ok. I served this will rice and steamed veg.

 5. This was pretty good, but not spectatcular. Too watery and not enough rice. Not a lot of flavor.

I am a mother of two. My kids are Carissa 6 and Logan 3. Carissa's kind of a picky little bird but Logan . . . is going to send me to the poorhouse as a teenager because he can already out eat me and my fiance. So both kids have me on the constant search for great recipes.

I loved to play the 50s housewife role, which I did for two and a half years but now I'm back out in the working world. I am the office administrator at a small mental health clinic that specializes in children on the autism spectrum.

Unfortunately with everything going on these days and busy little bodies constantly running around I don't have as much time to cook and bake as I did when I was home but I LOVE it every time I get the chance. My passion is truly baking. Though I love to cook, I live to bake! I also enjoy reading, online computer games, sewing, friends and music of all kinds.
