  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Combine both sugars with butter best until creamy.
  • Add syrup, vanilla extract and egg. Lightly beat until just mixed through.
  • Add flour, baking soda and salt, mixing well until combined. If needed add extra flour a tablespoon at a time.
  • Add half of the chocolate chips.
  • Roll the dough into balls and arrange them on a lined baking sheet (parchment paper).
  • Press the remaining chocolate chips into the tops of the cookies.
  • Bake for 10 to 11 minutes.
  • DO NOT OVER BAKE!
  • Allow cookies to cool for 30 minutes before eating.
