This recipe is just like mine for Cherry Mash bars...DELICIOUS!! The only difference is mine adds one teaspoon of almond flavoring to the cherry chip mixture, but that would be according to preference I would say. Anyway, they are great gifts for anyone who likes cherry. (: Thanks for sharing, Chef!

I have been cooking and baking since I can remember. I love to cook and bake, but I love to eat it even more!! I go absolutely nuts at Christmas time and bake anywhere from 30-45 items each year. I always bring about 4 large boxes up to our local organization that helps to feed the homeless in our area.
I am far from an expert and am always looking for quick tips. I am a stay at home mom to two boys (and one large one, my DH) and am completely obsessed with reading recipes. I do not read "normal" books, I read cookbooks and recipes on the web. My favorite cookbooks are the local collaberation ones(like the good old church cookbooks). I LOVE trying new recipes.
We rarely eat out, I have a hard time paying that much for something that I can usually find a recipe for on the web, plus after having worked in a few restaurants and seeing how they prepare food, can usually make it healthier, too.
