  1. I made this on 10/10/08 for the "Kathy and Liza Cook-A-Thon"and part of mine and SO's dinner.I made the recipe as written ( sort of )I removed the sausage from the casings, crumbled the meat into the pan. Then I added the onions and for the pepper I used a about 4 Tablespoons of freeze dried red/green pepper blend, which made about 1/2 cup.The rest of the recipe was followed as written. I had to add about another cup of water to get the pasta done to our liking. For the cheeses, romano and monterey jack were used.I thought this needed something to "perk it up" .My SO thought it was fine the way it was, so for him liking this that's why I'm giving it a four. Thanks for posting and, "Keep Smiling :)"

  2. This recipe is simplicity itself to prepare and cook, and the finished article....well,its absolutely delicious! I cut the recipe in half,as there were just two adults and two small children eating. It still made a good sized potful,so enough for second helpings and leftovers.I can't get Italian sausage where I live ( unbelievable,I know) so I used a pork, roasted red pepper and sweetflamed chilli sausage, with the skins removed. I don't do bought sauces,so I used my own homemade pasta sauce.I also didn't have any green pepper,so I added some sweetcorn instead (plus the children prefer it). My usually noisy dinner table was silent...everybody was eating, with obvious enjoyment..even my non-pasta loving husband declared that this was gorgeous. A fabulous dish, that is packed full of flavour. Thanks so much for posting Sam.

  3. Wow!! This is a great recipe!!! Very good. Great combination of ingredients. I used about a 1/2 pound ground Mild Italian Sausage. I cut the recipe down, using 1 1/2 cups of macaroni and about 2 cups of water. I used "Hunts Italian Garlic and Herbs Spaghetti Sauce" I used the whole can because I like dishes like this a little saucy. Even though I cut the recipe down, it still made a lot!! I ended up inviting a neighbor over because there was no way I could eat it all. Even after we ate and she took some to her BF, I still have leftovers. I will be making this recipe again. Thanks for a great recipe Sam!!
