Wow, wow, wow! These were sooo tasty!! I made the poor man's version- instead of bread crumbs, I used crushed cornflakes. They also fried up really well; I thought this mixture would fall apart in the frying pan like my falafals usually due, but it stayed together and I ended up with perfect patties! We ate them on 1/2 a hamburger bun with ketchup and a slice of bell pepper. Thanks for posting the recipe!Reply

Might be due to the Chef and not the recipe, I hate to say that I didn't really care for these. I probably over-worked the mixture...the texture was too smooth I think - reminded me of bean dip. The flavour was also so-so for me. I had to sub kidney beans for great northerns, though I don't think that sub made much of a difference. I'll try them again though, maybe add in some extra spice, more garlic and some coarser bread crumbs. (Made for ZWT Cooks w/Dirty Faces Team)Reply
