Care Bear's Peanut Butter Balls
- Ready In:
- 30mins
- Ingredients:
- 6
- Yields:
-
1 dozen balls
- Serves:
- 4-6
ingredients
- 1 cup granola cereal (any kind you like)
- 1 cup powdered milk (a 1-qt pouch equals one cup)
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1⁄2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1 (16 ounce) jar peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
-
Any or all of the following (for rolling the balls)
- sesame seeds, mini-chocolate chips, shredded coconut, roasted sunflower seeds
directions
- Mix granola, powdered milk, brown sugar and raisins (if using) until well-combined. Mixture should be white and chunky.
- Stir in peanut butter, mix well. This must be done by hand - using a wooden spoon will make it easier to combine.
- Once the ingredients are well incorporated, refrigerate the mixture for at least an hour. Otherwise it will be too sticky to roll.
- After at least an hour, roll the mixture into walnut-sized balls (approx 1 tblsp.). Roll in one or more of the following: sesame seeds, mini-chocolate chips, shredded coconut or roasted sunflower seeds.
- Place balls on a cookie sheet in the refrigerator to firm up for at least 4-6 hours. After that you can store them in an airtight container (in the fridge.) These will keep for weeks (if they last that long!).
