Candy Bar Cookie Squares

"This cookie tastes like a candy bar I have eaten before, but I don't know which one. At any rate, it is good."

ingredients

• Dough

• 1⁄2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup flour (all purpose)

• Topping

• 2 eggs
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 teaspoons flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup coconut
• 1⁄2 cup peanuts

directions

1. Mix softened butter or margarine with brown sugar; cream well.
2. Sift flour and work into creamed mixture with hands, forming a dough.
3. Pat into bottom of a greased 9x12-inch cake pan and bake 10 minutes at 350°.
4. COOL.
5. Mix 2 eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, flour, 2 teaspoons flour, baking powder and salt, mixing well.
6. Spread over cooled baked dough.
7. Top with coconut and nuts.
8. Bake at 350° 25 minutes.
9. Cut into squares and enjoy!
