This is a unique and special apple pie. I made it for Christmas dessert and it received rave reviews from everyone at the table. Granny Smith's worked beautifully and I loved the lime in it, the golden raisins didn't go amiss either. Even my super picky DH had kudos for this great dessert. Thanks Kato for a recipe that had everyone smiling and happy.

My husband LOVES, and I mean LOVES pies. I often have to make 2 so he can have his own. I only made one of these. We all loved this pie, we have only had 1 Apple Pie that's better than this one, yet not by much. He loved the topping. I did put whole pecans in it since I was tired and didn't care by that point. He loved them whole, better than the smaller pieces he said. This was super easy to make, now that I own an Apple corer I am sure this will be made again. I used a mandolin to slice the apples and he loved the thin slices vs chunks of Apple's. This will be made again definitely!!

I am a very lucky lady. I recently moved to a very small town in New Brunswick, Canada with my wonderful husband who is my best friend.
Very fortunate to have a cherished son, wonderful daughter in law and adorable granddaughter and cute wee grandson. We are very blessed.
A big thank you to everyone that has made my recipes... hope you enjoyed them.
