"Increase cake mix size. Three-Ounce Cake Mix “Up-sizer” Adapted from the Better Homes & Gardens New Cook Book for white and yellow cake recipes."

ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda

directions

1. In a clean, dry bowl combine; flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda. Whisk all ingredients together and store in a clean, dry mason jar.
2. When you wish to increase a 15.25-ounce cake mix to 18.25 ounces, add three ounces of this mix (6 tablespoons) to your existing cake mix.
3. Some mixes may require more than three ounces of mix to make them 18.25 ounces.

Thank you so much for posting these instructions from a trusted source. The cake mix companies did us a disservice when they shrunk the mixes. This will help bring back the deep cakes we all loved.
