Cajun Macaroni and Cheese With Shrimp

"I had this at my monthly Bunco group. One of the lady's husbands made it and gave us the recipe. It is to die for. I add in diced green pepper, saute it with the shrimp and more seasoning than called for when I make it."

  1. This recipe was delicious! My husband was saying "mmm," with every bite and he doesn't even like mac & cheese. I followed the directions exactly, added extra cajun seasoning and put in some chopped bacon.
  2. My family loves this mac n cheese. I cooked this for a potluck at work and my coworkers request it every year. They will even buy all the ingredients to make sure I cook it. .
  3. Made this last night family loved it doubled the recipe and it still disappeared lol keeper
  4. The cheese "sauce" just turned into a lump at the bottom of the sauce pan and a waste of $50 because I was making a double batch.
  5. Oh fabulous!!!! I made the shrimp quite spicy and turns out thats a good thing, because they are toned down by the mac 'n 'cheese and its creamy delicious sauce, so dont hold back on the spice. This is not just wonderful comfort food but a very decadent twist on an everyday meal, we loved this and it'll definitely be made time and again! Thank you, RGW, delicious, made for PAC Fall 2012
