Butter Rum Muffins

"These are buttery, not-too-sweet muffins with a nice puffy top and a nip of nutmeg (Kind of like a baked Tom & Jerry!) They're a nice little treat in the morning and take no time at all to put together."

Questions & Replies

  1. Have you ever used this recipe to make cookies. I had some Butter Rum Muffin Ttop Cookies and they were delicious. They were a flat cookie that puffed up and may have had the glaze on them they were wonderful. They also had butterscotch chips in them but you didn't see the chips. I would love to find this recipe if you could help.

  2. My muffins came out very dry and while the rum flavor is present, the actual muffins were not very sweet at all, however i will give this 3 stars because the glaze was delicious and added nice sweetness, but i don't think i will make this again. If i do, i will add a lot more sugar.

  3. Everyone in the house loved these!Especially me!

  4. Great tasting muffins with a nice, browned, crunchy top. The rum glaze was a very good finishing touch. Easy to make. I made 6 larger size muffins instead of the regular 12 small ones, and they turned out great and very professional looking.
