Brown Sugar Pecans

ingredients

• 16 ounces pecan halves
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 3⁄4 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

directions

1. Arrange pecan halves in an aluminum foil lined 13x 9 baking dish ~ Reynolds Release foil works great here ~ set pan aside.
2. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat and add brown sugar, vanilla, salt.
3. Stir one minute and remove from heat.
4. Continue stirring until brown sugar dissolves.
5. Pour over pecans, stirring to coat.
6. Bake at 325º for 25 to 25 minutes; stirring every 10 to 15 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and spread on wax paper to cool.
8. Store in an airtight container.

I did half a batch to try these out. I was sorry I didn't do the full batch. They are so dang good, I couldn't get the hubby to stop snacking on them before dinner. Definitely a wonderful recipe and making the full batch next time (soon)!

Terrible diappointment.<br/>Wasted my mixed nuts. I baked for 20 minutes, less than recipe, and the nuts were way overdone.

awesome! Everybody loved these ones over the egg type recipe candeid pecans, huge hit last year, gonna do it again this year as xmas gifts:) :) thanks so much for this recipe as it has helped with the holidays. I have aan egg allergy so this way i didnt miss out on the yummy candied pecans!

We were looking for recipes and we found this on the internet. I would recommend taking it out earlier because we burnt it when there were six minutes left on the clock. Otherwise, it was pretty good.

I made these to bring to a Christmas party and they were a huge success. I’ve made them twice since then and they turned out perfect both times. I added chow main noodles the last time it they added a nice contrast to the pecans.
