ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 3 1⁄2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 (8 ounce) package heath toffee pieces
directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease cookie sheet.
- Beat butter, sugars, vanilla and salt in large bowl until blended.
- Add eggs, beat well.
- Stir together flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
- Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended.
- Stir in toffee bits.
- Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly.

Nice brown sugar cookie, just not my favorite...thowever, I brought them to work and put them on the coffee cart for the staff and they were gone in under 30 minutes...the front office staff were particularly complimentary...Thanks for posting this recipe...I always like to try something new and different :)

I enjoy baking in my spare time. My coworkers love me because I regularly bring them cookies. I recently started dabbling in baking pies too. I've been told I should bake for a living, but I'm sure it wouldn't be as fun if I HAD to do it all the time! :)
