ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup skim milk or 1/2 cup 1% low-fat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons raisins
- 1⁄4 cup uncooked couscous
- ground cinnamon
directions
- Heat milk, vanilla, maple syrup, and raisins in a saucepan over medium heat until hot and steamy. DO NOT BOIL!
- Stir in couscous, cover, and remove from heat.
- Let stand for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve warm.

This was very good and provides a nice alternative to oatmeal which I'm not a huge fan of. Like others who have posted comments I initially thought the serving size was a little small, but in reality I found that the serving size posted was just enough to satisfy. I didn't have any maple syrup so I used honey instead. Looking at the recipe it appears I also forgot to sprinkle with cinnamon but it still tasted great.
