Bratislava Poppy Seed Croissants (Bratislavske Makove Rozteky)

"This recipe comes originally from the capital city of Slovakia, Bratislava, formerly known as Pressburg. The main ingredient is poppy seed, however, a walnut version is very common, too. It is an excellent dessert served all over Slovakia and recently Austria and Hungary. All ingredients are easy-to-buy, so enjoy this recipe with your family and friends!"

My name is Kristína and I live in Bratislava, Slovakia. This beautiful country is in the heart of Europe., usually set to Eastern europe, but correctly it is Middle Europe. I have always enjoyed cooking and making-up new recipes. I usually try to cook at least one recipe from this site a week. I am 23 and I work as assistant at an international financial company during week. I go to school every Saturday where I study journalism. Twice a week I go singing (me and few friends have a room for playing music). I sing opera and classical vocal in a metal music :-) I also started exercising, so lets hope for a better shape soon :-D Im also a passionate cookbooks collector. I think its the best Christmas gift for me :-P I would like to add as many Slovak recipes as possible to Recipezaar, I hope I can work out something. We have very interesting traditional cuisine and many of the meals can't be found anywhere else, but here.
