Braised Cabbage/Tanzanian

ingredients
- 2 lbs cabbage, cut in 1 inch wedges
- 1⁄2 cup red onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup beef stock or 1 cup vegetable stock
directions
- Saute onions, cabbage and seasonings in oil, just until it loses it's crispiness.
- Add beef stock.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.

I love cabbage and any way I can get my family to eat it too is a good way! I really liked how the rich beef stock and crushed red pepper combination gives new life to cooked cabbage. I served it with recipe #232839 and recipe #179450, and DH discovered that he could make a delicious sandwich by layering all three dishes! Thanks for posting this one, Katie!
