  • Cocktail

  • 1 ounce bourbon whiskey
  • 1 ounce fresh orange juice
  • 34 ounce honey syrup
  • 12 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 4 dashes orange bitters
  • champagne or prosecco
  • 1 orange twist
  • Honey Syrup

  • 14 cup honey
  • 14 cup water

  • To make the Honey Syrup,:

  • In a 1-quart saucepan, mix honey and water. Heat about 2 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring constantly until honey is dissolved. Remove from heat; and set aside 1 hour to cool.
  • Pour syrup into glass jar. Cover jar; refrigerate until ready to use. Makes about 1/2 cup.
  • Cocktail: Add the bourbon, orange juice, honey syrup, lemon juice and bitters to a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake well.
  • Pour into a cocktail glass. Top with Champagne. Garnish with an orange twist.

  1. This is a delicious cocktail, and one we will serve again gladly. Not too sweet, and it's strong, (kinda like I like my men), HAHA, just kidding, couldn't help myself. :) Seriously, this is a very tasty cocktail, and very pretty as well. The strength of the bourbon and sweetness of the honey syrup is toned down by the fresh citrus and bitters. Pour Prosecco over the top of it all...it's a win-win! Thank you for a keeper, momaphet!
