DIRECTIONS

  • Combine blueberries, maple syrup and lemon juice in a medium saucepan and cook gently over low heat, mashing blueberries slightly, until reduced and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Stir in basil.
  • Serve warm.
