My Grandmother use to make these all the time. Everyone loved them. Thank you for bringing back some very cherished memories.

OMG!!! These were wonderful...iLUV BLACKBERRIES..but didn't think I would like them cooked..the mixture cooked down and became thick, ooey, gooey and SWEET...WONDERFUL..family all LUV THEM...only thing I did different was add a little softened butter and some cinnamon to the dumpling mixture..and cooked the dumplings for about 5 minutes longer than called for..definitly keeping this recipe!!! Going to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and dig in!!!

Awesome! My sons love fruit desserts and this was a great last-minute addition to dinner. Used frozen blackberries with good results. Wouldn't change a thing, except next time I'd use a huge pot and double the recipe so we can look forward to leftovers. I didn't choose the recipe because it was more healthy, but looking at it now, it's a great lowfat dessert, too. Lucky us! Will make this again soon! Thanks, MizzNezz!
