ingredients
- 7 lbs Heinz ketchup
- 3 lbs light brown sugar
- 16 ounces light Karo syrup
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons vanilla
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons imitation butter
- 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 dash liquid smoke
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1⁄2 cup cider vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon lime, powder
- 1 teaspoon dried chipotle powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
directions
- Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive stock pot and simmer at least 7 hours until thick and smooth.
