This is astoundingly good! I almost had a heart attack with the amount of sugar in the recipe, but realized that a quart is really a lot of sauce. I didn't feel like pouring the hot sauce into my blender so I used an immersion blender right in the pot to blend it all up. I served this over apple cake, an excellent combination! Also, since I'm liable to drink this stuff straight from the fridge, I put half in the freezer. I'm sure that a few minutes in the microwave should be just fine. Thanks for posting such a yummy sauce!

Simply brilliant! I had a can of evaporated milk that needed using up. The steps were easy and it is delicious!! Thanks to whinyard who said they didn't put it through the blender. I also just whisked it. It was actually pretty smooth when I took it off the stove. This is a great recipe! Simple ingredients, simple to prepare! A winner! Thanks for sharing!
